How to get into lounges at PVG.

Priority Pass
PP coverage at PVG is narrow. The Hub @ Aerotel (transit hotel lounge) is the most reliable PP route. Many contract lounges in the numbered VIP family run on DragonPass instead.
DragonPass
DragonPass is the primary contract program at PVG. Covers the numbered VIP family (No.9, No.39, No.69, No.120, No.135, No.190), Airport Affiliated Lounge T1, and Area 73 T2 domestic. Often bundled with Chinese and Asian premium credit cards.
SkyTeam Status (Elite Plus)
Elite Plus opens China Eastern's family of lounges at T2 (No.77, International Lounge) and China Southern Sky Pearl 152 at S2. The strongest reciprocity at PVG given CE's hub presence.
Star Alliance Status
Star Alliance Gold opens Air China Lounge T2. Star Alliance First (rare) opens Air China First Class Lounge T2 4F. Connecting Partner reciprocity (select Juneyao flights) opens Juneyao 72.
oneworld Status
oneworld Sapphire opens the Cathay Pacific Lounge at T2 Gate D69. Emerald opens the same lounge plus arrival access on CX flights. The only oneworld lounge at PVG.
Emirates Skywards + Premium Cabin
Emirates First/Business passengers and Skywards Platinum/Gold members access the Emirates Lounge No.78 at T2. Separate from PP, DragonPass, and alliance access.
Walk-in Day Pass
The Hub @ Aerotel sells walk-in day passes. Some contract lounges accept walk-in pay around RMB 200-400 (~US$30-55). Day rooms and showers at Aerotel are billed separately.
Free Alternatives

Know before you go.
Timing & Crowds

Satellite Terminal Strategy

- —Use satellite-terminal lounges (No.120, 135, 190) to avoid backtracking to T1/T2 main.
Maximising DragonPass at PVG
- —DragonPass is the broader contract program here vs Priority Pass.
- —The numbered VIP lounges (No.9, 39, 69, 120, 135, 190) all run on DragonPass.
- —Match the lounge to your gate — Gate 69? Use VIP Lounge No.69, not VIP Lounge No.77.
